On Now Digital Joins MultiSpeak Community

CUYAHOGA FALLS, OHIO (August 8, 2018) – In an effort to serve electric utilities more efficiently, On Now Digital has officially joined the MultiSpeak® community. This initiative represents a key industry-wide standard for realizing the capability of enterprise application interoperability, and stems from a collaboration of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).

“Interoperability and data exchange are a must for utilities,” said Jeff Rockwood, Managing Director of On Now Digital. “Equipment data analysis across departments and sources yields a significant benefit for utilities facing higher system reliability expectations and tighter cost controls.”

Given the amount of equipment health data available, utilities are continually looking for ways to leverage new data sources without increasing burden on their teams. The MultiSpeak specification defines standardized interfaces among utilities-based software providers, as well as definitions of common data semantics and message structures. This enables utilities to more easily integrate a variety of software products from multiple vendors to efficiently support their operations.

On Now Digital offers a comprehensive asset health tracking framework that consolidates and simplifies asset health data for the purposes of extending the useful life of infrastructure assets. Due to the nature of On Now Digital's capabilities and expertise, the MultiSpeak association allows for a more seamless integration for utilities leveraging data analytics.
