We’re not your typical tech team.
Boy, we get it – software companies are a dime a dozen these days. So, why us? What makes On Now Digital any better than the next shop? Honestly, it’s our people. Corny but true. We’re not your robotic 0s and 1s type of team, and we don’t hire any of those stereotypically grumpy developers. On Now Digital is your dedicated, diverse, problem-solving entourage that actually cares a heck of a lot about helping you. Partner with us for:
Sharp focus (on your results and budget!)
Occasional dad jokes
See who's steering our ship.
Our full team consists of software engineers (who make the magic happen), solutions consultants (who grow to know your business like their own) and those weird marketing folks (who do… whatever it is that they do). Here’s a quick introduction to the masterminds who keep us on track:
Mark O'Brien, business manager
If customer experience were a sport, our Business Manager Mark O’Brien would be the MVP. He has this rare blend of logical, linear thinking and hyper-creative trouble-shooting – with an uncanny ability to communicate clearly and concisely. In addition to uncovering market needs and ensuring that our solution suite wows the socks off of our customers, Mark is responsible for managing our daily operations, stewarding the finances, prioritizing product and feature developments, allocating resources, and ordering the coffee. Luckily, he’s a good multi-tasker. Mark has helped to assemble a team that values agility and innovation and operates under the golden rule of treating everyone as you want to be treated. He’s an IEEE member, holds a B.S. in finance and management from Houghton College, and has 10+ years of experience as a digital project manager and entrepreneur. A volunteer youth basketball coach and an avid NBA historian, Mark will really love that sports metaphor at the beginning of this bio.
Brett Rose, manager of development and delivery
Manager of Development and Delivery Brett Rose is always prepared. Maybe that stems from his 20+ years of experience, his B.S. in computer science from Baker College, the fact that he single-handedly ran an industrial automation business, or from his time serving as an electronics technician in the U.S. Navy during an unconventional wartime. Look, all we know is that Brett is always ready to tackle any challenge our customers send his way… and usually with both short- and long-term options. In his current role, he takes the lead on concept development, quality assurance and solution scalability with a healthy dose of project management and methodology. Brett also plays a big part in growing our team’s knowledge base, mentoring junior developers and keeping the team up-to-date on a broad spectrum of software trends and best practices. When he’s not staring at a screen, he loves spending time outdoors – gardening, hiking, swimming – which, reminds us, Brett once spent eight hours stranded in the actual Bermuda Triangle. Talk about problem-solving at its finest!
Bill Hays, senior solutions engineer
Senior Solutions Engineer Bill Hays knows the quickest way to pull businesses up the technological ladder is not about what needs to be done but rather about how. Practical, persistent and highly analytical, Bill is adept at identifying clear strategies that exceed customer expectations and stay within budget. His super powers include his collaborative nature and his deep understanding of industrial networking, computer systems architecture, business processes and user interface design. Oh, and he’s absolutely tops when it comes to data warehousing and sales engineering. Bill is Kent State University alum (B.S. in mathematics/software systems analysis) and a beekeeper. That’s right, in his spare time, Bill enjoys observing what he describes as simple insects with a rich depth of capabilities. If you play your cards right, you might get to try some of his home-harvested honey.
