Position:        Junior Software Developer - .NET         
Department: OnNow Digital

Position purpose:  OnNow Digital is seeking a Junior .NET Developer that will support all technical aspects of front and back-end software systems including internal and external software and products. Working closely with business/departmental leadership to make the best use of information and technology.  This position provides enhanced value to our customers and optimizes business system effectiveness, efficiencies, growth, and improvement.



What you will do:

  • Contributing throughout all SDLC phases, both for new project work and existing system support tickets

  • Coding, testing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions

  • Participating in user interface design and development

  • Contributing to an entrepreneurial, positive team culture

  • Support and expansion of several web, distributed, mobile, and enterprise applications

  • Review tasks, gather requirements, and complete tasks mostly independently

 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent

  • 6 months to 3 years of development experience in web applications, object-oriented environments, or service-oriented architectures

  • General development skills include:  C#, .NET framework, MVC, Visual Studio, SQL

  • UI dev skills include:  HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Angular 2+ (or similar client-side framework)

  • Excellent record of teamwork among software teams and business stakeholders

  • Knowledge of object-oriented code and S.O.L.I.D. practices

  • Salesforce development experience

 

Preferred experience:

  • Native mobile app dev or MS Xamarin experience 

  • Unit testing proficiency, and tools such as NUnit or MSTest 

  • Experience with embedded systems, IoT devices, or online data collection systems

  • Experience working with industrial, commercial, or utility equipment reliability

 

Work conditions: 
The work for this position is conducted indoors, in a conventional office environment, in an office or cubicle, with low noise.  Remote work may be required for the immediate future and equipment will be supplied.

Physical demands: 
While working, the ability to:

  • Perform work at a desk for extended periods of time, typically at least 8 hours per day/5 days per week, sometimes more or less if business needs require

  • Occasionally lift objects up to 25 lbs.

  • Regularly hear, see, and talk; and occasionally stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb throughout the day
